A Romantic Valentine’s Break in Lausanne

The Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa’s new ‘Romantic Getaway’ package offers couples a decadent stay to revel in the luxury and romance of the recently renovated Art Nouveau building. Situated in Lausanne’s vibrant harbour district, this five-star property is conveniently located for the city’s main points of interest and, with its elevated position on a hill, provides breath-taking views of Lake Geneva, locally known as Lac Leman.

Couples will be welcomed into their romantic room set up with half a bottle of Champagne, and when it comes to a dinner date, triple Michelin-starred Chef Marc Haeberlin has created a delicious 4-course menu at The Brasserie du Royal, complete with local delicacies and regional ingredients. The package also includes unlimited access to the Spa du Royal; a grandiose space with heated interconnecting indoor and outdoor pools, steam room, Jacuzzi and treatment rooms.

Complete a Valentine’s Day getaway with a visit to UNESCO heritage Lavaux Vineyards to sample some of the world’s very best vino. In 2018 Lausanne became only the 10th member of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network, joining iconic destinations such as Bordeaux and California’s Napa Valley. As Switzerland only exports 1-2% of its wine each year, the best place to share a bottle with your loved one is on the terraced shores of Lake Geneva where it is grown.
