A visit to the spa is not always about her, sometimes men need a little pampering too and with Father’s Day fast approaching why not give your dad something a little different and treat him to a day at Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa with the added extra of an Elemis Deep Tissue Massage.
I sent my hubby along to see what he thought.
After experiencing the unique heat and ice experiences in the spa (a selection of hot and cold experiences) it was time for my treatment, so I headed upstairs into the quiet relaxing waiting area where I enjoyed a cool glass of fruit infused water before being called by my therapist and taken into the peaceful treatment room.
This massage had promised to alleviate stress and ease aching muscles and I certainly needed that! I had been working flat out and my body and muscles were tired and aching – The therapist worked her magic, the pressure was just right and I could feel the tension melt away as she used blends of Essential Oils which were targeted to my own individual needs and thus helped towards reducing my stress.
Focusing primarily on my back, shoulders and neck area, I could feel myself drifting into a sleep like trance as the muscle tension slowly slipped away, my only criticism is I wanted it to go on forever!
Afterwards I felt refreshed and rejuvenated ready to reconnect with the everyday stress and strains that life throws at me, but I am sure if I have a massage like this every few weeks I’ll be able to cope far better!
