Exclusivity and Luxury at Blanco

The Algarve, has always been one of my favourite destinations, with its blue skies, golden sands, hidden beaches and gorgeous food, what is there not to love?

And now there’s a new reason to visit, somewhere that offers you exclusivity and luxury, somewhere you can pretend just for a while you’re an A-list celebrity – It is the place to have been seen at this summer and every other summertime to come.

It’s Blanco Beach Club in Praia da Rocha, this summer’s hottest new opening. A beachside luxury that brings you a 5 star experience, fusing European beach club culture and luxury lifestyle with an iconic Portuguese backdrop. Inspired by the white seamless beachfront, the brand name and logo was derived from the love of white sandy beaches and white tigers: exotic, gorgeous and unforgettable.

Opened in July, we paid it a visit to see if it’s quickly growing reputation, as the place to be seen this summer was true.

With a flight time of around 3 hours from the UK to Faro airport, you’ll soon be sipping cocktails and champagne listening to live DJ’s by day and live acts by night. Our flight with Monarch airlines had us touching down ready to paaaaarty.

After a quick change and freshen up in our spacious Deluxe Pool View Room at the recently opened 5 star *Anantara Vilamoura Algarve luxury resort hotel (our home for the next four days) it was time for us to be picked up by our driver and whisked off to see if all the hype was true.

Having already played host to some big names including Tyga, French Montana, Ty Dolla Sign and Fat Man Scoop, we were in for a treat as Kid Ink was performing, and we were doubly lucky, having been shown to our VIP seats,  (our own private table with sunken seats and soft neon lightening directly next to the stage), we managed to catch Kid Ink practicing for his big performance later in the evening (or should I say early hours of the morning).

Against the backdrop of some banging tunes we sipped champagne and cocktails whilst washing it down with a selection of Japanese sushi and sashimi that tasted just as good as it looked. The champagne just kept coming and the party just kept on going (well until 3am!)

In the day the beach club changes from the place to party to the place to chill, and as the name Blanco suggests everything is white (well almost everything) from the white washed walls to the round lounging day beds, white wooden bar area and white cabanas with their own private Jacuzzi’s, to even the champagne flutes and cocktail glasses. Add to that the turquoise blue of the 20-metre pool taking centre stage on the wooden decking and you have the making of   a serene oasis of elegant luxury, with the live DJ playing tunes all day – all you have to do is eat, drink, chat and sleep – You don’t have to move unless you’re changing position or taking a dip in the pool, as everything is waiter service and a good one at that, fear not you’ll not be without a cocktail in your hand for too long.

Blanco Beach Club’s reputation is already building as THE place to be and we can see why, if you want to live the jet set lifestyle of the rich and famous (if only for a day) or feel like you’re starring in a Tinie Tempah music video then this is the place for you!
