‘Surf & Turf’
with Hemingways Collection’s

Hemingways Collection’s new bush and beach combination aims to capture the imagination of budding safari rangers and marine conservationists. Kenya has it all for pure African adventure – at a very reasonable price – and ticks all the boxes for families with thrill seeking teenagers with energy to burn.

Three days of exhilarating safari drives serve as the perfect ‘taster safari’ for keen minds.  In the heart of the Naibosho Conservancy, Ol Seki Hemingways Mara is a private enclave of just ten luxury safari tents, each with 270º views over the Mara plains. Interconnecting family tents means there is plenty of room for everyone, each with en-suite bathrooms, hot running water and flushing loos, and the private vehicle for families mean guests have great flexibility whilst out on a drive.

With one of the highest densities of lion to tourists in the Greater Mara, Ol Seki is the perfect place to spot these majestic cats, as well as some of the rarest animals in Kenya, such as Wild Dog.  And while there is no typical day at Ol Seki, everything is possible, from night drives, guided game walks, sundown safaris, and cultural Masai village visits.

Then from beautiful bushland, fly over to the Kenyan coast for four nights at the heavenly HemingwaysWatamu. Sitting on the coastline of the pristine Watamu Marine National Park, with its beautiful sand beach and turquoise waters, HemingwaysWatamu is so much more than a bucket and spade holiday!

It is home to some of Africa’s best snorkelling and diving with an underwater world brimming with over 500 species – big and small – including Whale shark, dolphin, and turtles.  Not to mention the most magnificent humpback whale migration between July and September.

Learn to kite-surf, get your PADI, try stand-up paddle boarding, or head out to sea on Hemingways’ own deep-sea fishing boats to catch Marlin, Sailfish, Broadbill Swordfish and Short bill Spearfish.  While back on dry land, there is the extraordinary Arabuko-Sokoke Forest to explore – the largest, most intact coastal forest in East Africa, home to some of Kenya’s rarest mammals, elephant, brilliant butterflies and saltwater mangroves.

Or, just kick back and r-e-l-a-x into the Kenyan way of life, sipping on a refreshing Dawa cocktail and grazing on delicious Crispy Lamu Crab Claws and lounging by one of the two sparkling swimming pools, before heading to the spa for a spot of pampering.
