Dream Yacht Charter is introducing boutique cruising on board luxury catamarans with a By the Cabin programme offering 24 itineraries in 12 destinations worldwide including the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, South East Asia and French Polynesia.
With By the Cabin Cruises holidaymakers can experience a luxury yachting holiday without having to book a whole yacht or have any experience of sailing. Holidaymakers book individual cabins, with private bathrooms, on crewed luxury catamarans with between 4 and 12 double cabins.
The catamarans measure up to 24 metres in length and are extremely stable. They are air-conditioned and feature airy main saloons with flat screen TV/DVD entertainment centres and spacious decks for relaxing and enjoying the snacks and meals created by a personal chef. Snorkelling equipment and sea kayaks are also available.
They are crewed by a skipper and a cook who take care of all the sailing and preparing meals. Larger catamarans have a crew of three.
The cruises follow set itineraries, ranging from 4 to 11 days, that combine visits to beaches and deserted islands for swimming, kayaking or snorkelling in some of the best waters in the world to see reefs, fish, turtles, dolphins or manta rays. And there are stops at harbours for shopping, sightseeing and excursions to explore the local area.
The itineraries have been designed so that sailing times are kept short and the shallow draft of the catamarans means that they can get much closer to the shore and enter private anchorages.
Longer durations are ideal for a complete holiday while the shorter durations in destinations such as the Seychelles, Mauritius, Thailand and French Polynesia are perfect for anyone wanting to combine some time on the water with a hotel stay.
