Love is in The Air at Battersea Power Station

Love will be in the air at Battersea Power Station’s Lift 109 this Valentine’s Day. Offering breathtaking views of the London skyline from the top of the Power Station’s north-west chimney, the unique glass elevator will be dressed with beautiful floral arrangements from London’s oldest and most prestigious florists, Moyses Stevens, on 14th February 2023, adding an extra special, romantic touch to ascents taking place that day.

Private ascents are also available for that evening, perfect for those looking for a unique setting to propose to their loved one or to make someone’s Valentine’s Day truly unforgettable. A butler will be on hand to serve champagne as guests are serenaded by live beautiful string melodies.

Open to the public last November, London’s must-visit Lift 109 experience begins in Battersea Power Station’s Art Deco Turbine Hall A where, through a carefully curated ensemble of original records and multi-media displays, visitors delve into the building’s rich history, architectural significance and enduring presence in popular culture.

Continuing onwards and upwards, guests enter the circular glass elevator and make a thrilling ascent up the north-west chimney where from 109-metres at the top they take in stunning 360- degree views of London’s skyline. The experience concludes at the Lift 109 Shop where guests can purchase a keepsake of their visit.

Dan Westley, Leasing Director at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: “In just a few short months following its launch last November, Lift 109 has become a must- visit experience for London offering an immersive glimpse into the iconic Battersea Power Station’s history and unparalleled views of the city skyline. We are thrilled to see Lift 109 evolve and add new elements to the experience this Valentine’s Day which will provide our guests with one of the most unique ways to celebrate the occasion and treat their loved ones.”
