Balmer Lawn Hotel based in Brockenhurst was the first hotel in the area to create a custom built outdoor dining area back in late 2020. Now with the next lockdown coming to an end the hotel is expanding its outdoor offering even further.
When the doors open on Monday 12 April at 12noon the Balmer Lawn Hotel will be relaunching The Lodge Kitchen & Bar with a new beach bar theme complete with surfboards and other fun props. The outside Savernake Terrace has also been expanded and landscaped for an additional al fresco dining experience.
Balmer Lawn Hotel, General Manager and Chair of the New Forest Hoteliers Association, Michael Clitheroe, said: “We were already ahead of the trend in setting up a specific outdoor area to provide safe al fresco dining to our guests and this time we have gone bigger and better!
“The Lodge Kitchen & Bar will come alive with beach bar vibes from dawn until dusk with lunch and dinner served daily, and breakfast on the weekends. Plus those looking for a more intimate dining experience can opt for one of our private outdoor areas including the stunning Pavillion. The team could not be more excited to show off the hard work that has been going on behind the scenes during lockdown to our guests both local and those travelling from further afield.”
The Lodge Kitchen & Bar will serve a casual style dining experience including freshly cooked artisan pizzas and charcuterie grazing boards. At the weekends visitors can experience the famous Balmer Lawn breakfast from the sun drenched terrace or within the weatherproof lodge. Plus the outdoor bar will be open for those wishing to pop in for a drink after a long walk in the New Forest national park.
Private dining for small groups can be catered for with a range of options or the chef can come up with a bespoke party menu.
“On Monday 12 April the Balmer Lawn will come alive again with beach bar vibes and exquisite scenic views across the forest. To say the team is excited is an understatement as we prepare to welcome guests back through our doors!”, added Clitheroe.
