Perfectly Timed for Summer
at Domaine de Verchant in Montpellier

Synonymous for its chic summer music scene, this year five- star boutique hotel Domaine de Verchant have added  an exciting addition, the opening of an exclusive private sandy beach, authentic rustic beach bar, and sumptuous outdoor lounge area.

The new area has been seamlessly added to the hotel’s bar-restaurant-pool complex La Plage by Verchant and leads guests into nature, as it flows out into Domaine de Verchant’s 13-hectre vineyard.

It provides an exclusive place to re-connect, unwind and relax among the vines. An array of deckchairs will be dotted along the new sandy beach, which is perfectly positioned next to the swimming pool offering the ideal respite after a morning on the sand.

The bar has been built with natural materials and features vegetal decorations and rattan furnishings – it exudes a wild and authentic atmosphere. The bar propels out onto the new lounge area, providing a secluded spot to enjoy one of the fine vintages being served on the wine and champagne menu.

This year La Plage by Verchant is celebrating its 5th summer season, and it will again be hosting a summer of live music, as it continues to tap into Montpellier’s thriving arts scene and modern youthful vibe.

With the arrival of sunny days comes Thursdays Live, Cocktails and Tapas – simple food created with great produce, colourful cocktails, and music from talented local artists and DJs; and Friday Musical Sunsets – relax and unwind in the bar and rendezvous with an artist at sunset for a suspended music moment.

Ad-hoc events on the playlist include an 1582 evening, honouring the wines’ of the estate on the 12th September.

Alongside the new beach is La Plage restaurant by chef Jérôme Bartoletti. Here guests can enjoy small dishes from the tapas menu, an extensive la carte menu and a fresh from the market set menu that varies each day depending on what arrives at the local market, and Bartoletti’s mood. There is also his famed Sunday brunch with champagne – the perfect holiday combination.

La Plage by Verchant isn’t the only outstanding feature of Domaine de Verchant. The 16th century stone château houses 26 intimate bedrooms and suites all stylishly furnished in contemporary Italian fabrics by designer Raymond Morel. The plates at the fine-dining Verchant restaurant are inspired by the abundant availability of locally produced fish, meat, and organic vegetables – a must during any stay.

A 2000m2 spa boasts eight treatment rooms, a comprehensive menu of exclusive Anne Sémonin treatments, a sauna, Jacuzzi, private hammam and indoor hydrotherapy pool; while outside there are two further pools set among fragrant gardens, a high-tech “super” 400m2 Technogym with a personal trainer and tennis court.

Deluxe bedrooms at Domaine de Verchant start from 350 EUR per night, based on two sharing. To book visit www.domainedeverchant.com
