This month, Comfort is giving you the chance to put your unwanted clothes to great use with their first ever Swap Shop. Bring in an item you no longer wear and swap it for something new, with clothes from the Cosmopolitan and ELLE Fashion cupboards on offer you could bag yourself a real fashion find. Comfort’s Swap Shop will run from 18th – 22nd July and will be popping up at 52 Brewer Street in one of London’s most fashionable districts – Soho.
The Comfort Swap Shop aims to encourage all of us to show our clothes the love they deserve and make more sustainable choices in how we choose our clothes. Alongside the opportunity to donate and swap your pre-loved items, the Comfort Swap Shop will also host style workshops with SaireyStemp, Cosmopolitan Senior Fashion Editor and Molly Haylor, ELLE Accessories Editor who will show you how to revitalise your wardrobe without hitting the shops.
Better still, those with a penchant for personalisation, can add their initials or favourite phrases to any item picked up at the Swap Shop, with the help of the onsite embroiderer.
If you don’t have any clothes you feel like offloading, the Comfort Swap Shop is still worth a visit as individually priced items supplied by Oxfam, Cosmopolitan and ELLE will be available to purchase for those who don’t feel like swapping.
Michele Vincitorio, Brand Manager at Comfort UK, says “We know that our clothes can improve not just how we look but our state of mind in a positive way too and its important we show them the love they deserve. Whether it’s swapping them so someone else can love them as much as you do, re-styling them so you see them in a different light or personalising them so they look brand new – the Comfort Swap Shop has it all.”
All proceeds of the Comfort Swap Shop will be donated to The Princes Trust, who work to help young people under 30 get into education and employment. Comfort are working with The Prince’s Trust to demonstrate the positive impact clothing can have on our mental wellbeing by supporting their Future Leaders programme.
