The Carlton Tower Jumeirah is delighted to announce its enchanting festive campaign, ‘The Season for Dreams’, which will see the hotel transformed into a spellbinding winter utopia. Inspired by the snowy villages of fairytale books and days gone by, ‘The Season for Dreams’, will transport guests on a captivating adventure designed to surprise and delight during the most wonderful time of the year.
Masterfully designed by renowned royal florist Moyses Stevens – whose history dates to 1876 – the lobby’s festive installation will incorporate ice-like decorations and crystallised ornaments creating a perpetually frozen land. Children will also be able to post their letters from the lobby to Lapland with the hotel’s own Christmas post-box, whilst the ‘Santa’s Mission’ programme during Christmas week promises an exciting range of activities for little ones.
‘The Season for Dreams’ is echoed throughout the hotel, with a carefully curated selection of festive menus on offer to be enjoyed throughout the season, from traditional favourites to modern Italian dishes. Putting a seasonal twist on its award-winning offering, the hotel will launch a Festive Afternoon Tea, (£75 pp), in partnership with Jessica Preálpato, featuring an enticing new range of sweet and savoury delights. Dishes include a chestnut, truffle and cranberry tart, a brioche with crème fraiche, smoked salmon and caviar, a selection of mini turkey and berry jam sandwiches and cheese crème brûlée to finish. These savoury bites will sit alongside a delightful selection of sweet treats, with standout dishes including an orange and cinnamon butter powder tart and an apple, clove and cajou tart, both of which are bound to delight with their classic Christmas flavours.
Guests looking for a light mid-afternoon snack can indulge in The Carlton Tower’s Scone Bar, offering an exciting range of flavours. Scone lovers can enjoy seasonal favourites such as cinnamon, sultana, and chocolate, or can choose to indulge in a selection inspired by nature, such as basil, nettle, fennel, chamomile and hibiscus. There are also sesame and coffee sconeson the menu, offering a more unique take on the typical scone. The scones are also available to take away – with four scones available for £18 or eight scones with four condiments costing £32 – a lovely pre-Christmas gift for loved ones or friends.
The hotel will also be offering two signature desserts throughout the festive period – a Christmas log (single £15; log £80), available in both individual and large sizes, and a couronne des rois(single £8; large £55) with tasting notes of orange blossom and candied orange – both of which promise a truly delectable ending to the perfect Christmas meal.
The hotel’s flagship restaurant Al Mare will be offering a five-course Christmas Eve menu of modern Italian dishes such as a steamed lobster with artichoke, potato and saffron and a white cabbage, black winter truffle and cannellini bean ravioli for vegetarians. Priced at £150 per person, and £130 for vegan and vegetarian options, the menu is inspired by Executive Chef Giuseppe Parisi’s childhood home of The Bay of Naples, offering a unique take on the traditional Christmas Eve celebrations.
For those looking to elevate their Christmas day festivities, guests can indulge in a fine dining experience, with Al Mare’s set-menu comprising a selection of traditional festive dishes. The menu is priced at £80 per person, and £60 for both vegan and vegetarian options, with dishes served family-style which include chicken in blankets with stewed red cabbage and orange -a fun take on the classic pigs in blankets – as well as the more traditional roast turkey served with a Yorkshire pudding and Brussel sprouts.
For an unforgettable festive period, enjoy the enchantment of Christmas and experience ‘The Season for Dreams’ at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah.
