…reopening this month (January 2018) following a major transformation
Hemingways Watamu, the star of the Kenyan Coast, re-opens this month following a multi-million-dollar redesign. The reopening of the hotel signals the start of a new era for the Kenyan coast, and cements Watamu’s position as the beach destination of choice in Kenya.
The re-designed Hemingways Watamu re-opens with 39 bedrooms – including 13 brand-new deluxe ocean view rooms – and 21 Residences, offering 1, 2 or 4 bedroom apartments that will be available for purchase and as part of the hotel inventory.
With a stellar reputation, and guests who have visited year-in-year-out since Hemingways Watamu first opened in 1988, the hotel will retain its original spirit – whilst adding a new touch of African flare. The new look maximizes the hotel’s idyllic setting at the heart of the Watamu Marine National Park – home to turtles, barracuda, whale shark and wonderful coral reefs.
Stays at Hemingways Watamu are from £186 per room per night based on two sharing on a B&B basis
