On 23rd January, Mar Hall invites guests to extend the winter season and ‘Toast to the Bard’ with a refined Burns Night celebration.
Originally built in the mid-1800s by Sir Robert Smirke, architect of the British Museum, Mar Hall was reimagined in 2025 following a £20 million transformation.

Set within 240 acres on the banks of the River Clyde and just 10-minutes from Glasgow Airport, the resort now elevates the Scottish heritage hotel experience with a vibrant, contemporary identity rather than relying on conventional tartan tropes. The property has become a case study in restoring historical estates without stripping away their soul, combining rural context with urban flair and modern design.

The Burns Night Celebration reinforces that vision. Rooted in tradition yet presented through a modern lens, the event reflects Mar Hall’s evolved aesthetic – traditional in spirit but aligned with the resort’s broader design evolution, which moves beyond stereotype toward a more compelling, contemporary expression of heritage.

The curated evening begins with a 6.30pm welcome drink, followed by whisky tasting, live music and poetry, a traditional toast to the haggis accompanied by a bagpiper, and a four-course dinner.
Tickets are priced at £95 per person, for more information and to book, please visit here.
